BUYLCI Site Migration & Refreshed Design

Summary & Brief:

Client:

BUYLCI (LC Industries)

Durham, NC

Our Scope:

eCommerce website design, landing page design, ad copy, ad creative, graphic design, logo design, search engine optimization (SEO), rebranding, and content creation.

Objective

To uplift, refresh, and improve the BUYLCI website during a CMS (content management system) migration. Modernize the look and feel for a specific audience type, while making it stand out from the competition. Position BUYLCI as an industry leader with a first class website experience.

Make it easier for users to find discounts, deals, and product additions. Help communicate the value of shopping, and the nonprofit mission attached to it, with BUYLCI. Assure the site is positioned for both business to consumer (B2C), business to government (B2G), and business to business (B2B) sales. Rebrand the website to be more appealing to a modern audience, while making it easier for users to checkout.

Once launched the user journey is to be improved upon. Customers can navigate the site easier, find the product information they need, and checkout without any issues and a less clunky user experience than the legacy site. Ideally, the goal set forth as a result of the creative, graphic design, and website design work would be increased sales, reduced bounce rates, and reduced calls to customer service.

Solution:

A successfully relaunched, revamped, and engineered website. We designed a new logo, branding elements from color scheme to taglines. We enriched website content from adding FAQs, Chatbot, product information, page verbiage, updated images/banners, and accessibility updates.

The clean rebranded BUYLCI allows for minimal noise, and improved imagery to help with appeal and navigation. We updated the navigation and structure of the website to make finding products easier, and information on new products to the centerfold. What has been fairly impactful is the ability for government users to understand what new products launch easily without having to dive into the search. This has been accomplished by highlighting not only the new items on the homepage but also a rotation of items that are in demand at government facilities. This undertaking involved new banner designs, and wireframes for an impactful homepage. The new search design allows for recommendations, trending searches, pinning of items they would like to sell through, and product images

The team at Markiserv also led in the design efforts of their chatbot which blind employees participated in to create, further linking with LCI's vision of supporting blind and visually impaired employees.

On the search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) front: We developed engaging ad copy that spoke not only to the mission, but also the product offerings, while providing high resolution graphics for display ads, provided the web team with blog content, and meta descriptions to assist in their SEO efforts, and built landing pages to plug into their new campaigns.

After this was completed we monitored performance of their website after the changes when live:

  • 35% increase in click through rate or CTR
  • 220% increase in impressions

This is an awesome story! Helping a fantastic organization with a good cause standout. I also enjoyed reading through how your efforts had some ROI impact which is generally hard to track through creative design. Keep it up!
